Volta Regional Minister Engages Penyi Residents On Big Push Road Project

The Volta Regional Minister has met residents of Penyi in the Ketu North Municipality at a town hall meeting aimed at deepening community engagement on the ongoing Big Push Road Project.

The interaction formed part of government’s commitment to transparency and inclusive development, providing residents with first-hand information on the scope, design, and expected impact of the road project.

The meeting brought together the Municipal Chief Executive for Ketu North, Rev. Martin Amenaki, traditional authorities, assembly members, opinion leaders, and members of the community. It created an open platform for residents to engage directly with government officials and project managers.

Officials explained that the Big Push Road Project is intended to improve road connectivity, ease transportation, and stimulate economic activities across Ketu North and adjoining communities. They assured residents that proper procedures would be followed in dealing with properties that may be affected by the project, including valuation and compensation where necessary.

Residents used the opportunity to ask questions and raise concerns on issues such as construction timelines, safety during road works, and compensation processes. Government representatives responded to the concerns and pledged continuous engagement throughout the project’s implementation.

The Volta Regional Minister stressed that community cooperation and dialogue are key to the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects, adding that feedback from residents would help ensure the road meets local needs.

The town hall meeting ended with a shared commitment between government officials and community leaders to work together to ensure the smooth execution of the Big Push Road Project for the benefit of Penyi and the wider Ketu North Municipality.
