The Paramount Chief & Overlord Of Wet Traditional Area, and
President, Weta Traditional Council, Torgbuiga Akpo Ashiakpor VI passionately appeal to the Government
of the day through the Ministry of Roads and Highways to as a matter of
urgency, prioritize the construction of all major roads connecting Weta and its
surrounding communities notably, Weta junction through to Xevi connecting
Aflao – Ho highway, Weta – Ehi, Ehi – Agbozume, Weta – Devego, Weta – Dekpor,
Weta junction – Afiaȡenyigba, etc.
Speaking at a grand durbar of Chiefs, Queen mothers and Elders to climax activities that marked the festival at Weta, the traditional capital on Saturday October 26th 2024.
Torgbuiga Akpo Ashiakpor Vi highlight on the core need for ,government to constructs the road networks in Weta and it sarounding communities linking it to other Districts and Municipals because Weta is not only Rice a producing community and Traditional Area that contribute to Ghana’s Food ratio and Gross Domestic Product GDP but to bring indirect developmental projects to the good people of Weta Traditional Area.
“‘Where ever there is access and good. roads it provide a convenient and efficient mode of transportation for goods and services, thereby contributing to the growth of the economy. Improved road infrastructure enables the smooth cost” Torgbuiga added.
