Ketu South Municipal Assembly has officially inducted a new batch of Youth Employment Agency (YEA) beneficiaries into various national institutions, marking a proud step in Ghana’s ongoing effort to create jobs and strengthen community security.
The induction, held Friday 10th October 2025, welcomed young men and women who will serve as Community Police Assistants under the Ghana Police Service, Fire Service Assistants with the Ghana National Fire Service, and Ambulance Service Assistants with the Ghana Ambulance Service.
The Municipal Youth Employment Coordinator, Mr. Joseph Agbolanson Kukpawu, described the moment as a great honour and a reflection of progress in youth empowerment. “It is with great pleasure and a deep sense of pride that I stand before you today,” he said. “This ceremony represents not just your recruitment, but your call to serve Ghana with dedication and discipline.”
He congratulated the inductees and encouraged them to approach their duties with integrity, loyalty, and commitment to national development.

Delivering the keynote speech, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Member of Parliament for Ketu South, reminded the beneficiaries that public service is a calling that demands professionalism and a strong sense of purpose. “Today is not just about a ceremony,” she emphasized. “It is about laying the foundation for your journey as public servants. You are now part of a system that protects lives, promotes peace, and sustains our nation’s progress.”

She further explained that the induction process forms part of the Human Resource Development Policy for the Public Service, designed to prepare new recruits to understand government frameworks, ethical standards, and development priorities such as the 24-Hour Economy, the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda, and the Medium-Term National.

Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Nicholas Kwabla Worklachie, highlighted the purpose and expected outcomes of the training. “This induction will help you fully understand your roles within government operations, enhance your competence, and integrate you into the culture of public service,” he said.
He urged the beneficiaries to uphold teamwork, discipline, and excellence, stressing that these qualities are essential to improving service delivery and achieving national development goals.

The event drew local leaders, representatives from the Ghana Police Service, Fire Service, and Ambulance Service, as well as officials of the Youth Employment Agency. Their presence underscored the shared commitment to empowering young people to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s growth and safety.
