Dzifa Gomashie Donates GH₵15,000 to St. Paul’s SHS, Denu-Tokor, for Outstanding Performance in 2025 NSMQ

Member of Parliament (MP) for Ketu South and Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has donated GH₵15,000 to St. Paul’s Senior High School (SPACO) at Denu-Tokor in recognition of the school’s exceptional performance in the 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).

The donation, made on Monday, October 27, 2025, is intended to motivate the students and staff for their hard work and commitment, as well as to boost their morale as they continue to raise the flag of the Volta Region high in academic competitions.

Hon. Gomashie commended the school for its dedication to academic excellence and discipline, which she described as a shining example for other schools in the region. She encouraged the students to remain focused, respectful, and determined in their studies, emphasizing that success is built on consistency, humility, and discipline.

Sharing her personal experience, Hon. Gomashie recalled her own days as a student in the 1970s, saying she had always valued the guidance of her teachers — a relationship she still maintains with her former headmistress to this day. She urged the students of St. Paul’s to respect and listen to their teachers, as their mentorship and correction are crucial to their future success.

“Your teachers are your foundation. Respect them, listen to them, and give them your best. I am who I am today because I had teachers who cared and corrected me,” she said.

The Headmaster of St. Paul’s SHS, Mr. Emmanuel Dogodzi, expressed his profound gratitude to the MP for her thoughtful gesture and continuous support toward education in Ketu South. He noted that the donation would go a long way to inspire both students and staff to strive for even greater achievements in future competitions.

He further assured Hon. Gomashie that the school remains committed to academic excellence, discipline, and moral upbringing — values that have sustained St. Paul’s as one of Ghana’s leading institutions.

The brief but colorful presentation ceremony was attended by teachers, students, and community members, who applauded the MP for her consistent investment in education and her genuine interest in the youth’s development across the constituency.
