French renewable energy producer Volta Group has obtained EUR 65 million (USD 72.1m) in financing to advance a portfolio of 175 rooftop solar installations at home as it seeks to become a major player in the local market.
The financing was arranged by a consortium of seven banks led by Arkea Banque Entreprises & Institutionnels. The other lenders are Banque Populaire Grand Ouest, Banque Palatine, Credit Agricole Languedoc, Credit Cooperatif, Credit Agricole Provence Cote d’Azur and La Nef, a press statement says.
The fresh capital will support a portfolio, developed entirely by Volta, which represents a combined capacity of 50 MWp. Some 60% of these rooftop projects require renovations.
Volta is an independent renewable power producer headquartered in Corbieres-en-Provence, near Manosque. The company is active in rooftop photovoltaic systems as well as wind power and repowering.
