The National Service Authority has released postings for 18,416 trained teachers for the 2026/2027 service year, marking a major phase in Ghana’s national service rollout.
The postings, announced on April 22, apply to graduates from accredited Colleges of Education, who are required by law to undertake national service before entering full professional practice.
Affected personnel are expected to:
- Log onto the official NSA portal to check placements
- Complete mandatory validation before reporting
- Prepare for deployment to assigned institutions
- Validation Period: April 22 – May 15, 2026
- Service Start Date: May 4, 2026
The Authority warns that failure to complete validation could affect eligibility for the service year.

The deployment is aimed at addressing teacher shortages, especially in underserved communities, while improving teaching and learning outcomes nationwide.
According to the NSA, the validation process is critical to:
- Verify credentials and eligibility
- Maintain integrity of the service system
- Ensure efficient and fair deployment
News Volta will continue to monitor the rollout of the 2026/2027 national service postings and compliance across regions.
