The Voice of Miracle Prayer Church International, led by Torgbui Hezekiah I Apostle Jacob Henyo, the General Overseer of Church celebrated this year’s Easter with a vibrant communion feast and festive sports games, bringing together members from both branches from Ghana and Togo.
The celebration, which blended deep spiritual reflection with joyful social activities, highlighted the significance of Easter as a time to commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The communion service formed the spiritual core of the event, where congregants gathered in unity to partake in the sacred ordinance, symbolizing Christ’s sacrifice and love.
Following the solemn observance, the atmosphere transformed into one of excitement and fellowship as members engaged in Easter festive games. Activities included friendly competitions in various sports, Football, Handball, Tug of War etc, promoting team spirit, unity, and healthy living among the church members .
Church leadership emphasized that the inclusion of sports in the celebration reflects a broader vision of holistic ministry, where spiritual growth is complemented by physical well-being and social interaction. The event also served as a platform to strengthen bonds among members across borders, reinforcing the church’s regional presence and unity.
Some church members who spoke with News Volta described the celebration as both spiritually uplifting and socially refreshing, noting that it created a balance between worship and recreation while fostering deeper connections within the church family.
