Bawumia Makes Big Appeal In Ketu South: “My Ideas Will Move Ghana Forward”

Speaking to a charged crowd of party supporters in Ketu South on November 15, former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia made a passionate appeal to Ghanaians to place their confidence in his leadership as he seeks the highest office of the land.

Dr. Bawumia urged the electorate to judge him by his record and his proven ability to deliver, saying:

“Have confidence in me. You have seen what I can do as Vice President. If you make me president with the power, I will bring ‘Abrokyire’ to Ghana here.”

Framing his campaign around innovation and transformation, he encouraged Ghanaians to look beyond the present economic challenges and focus on the ideas capable of reshaping the nation’s future.

“It is not the money in your pocket that will allow you to transform Ghana. It is the ideas in your head,” he stressed.

The former Vice President highlighted key digital and financial reforms he championed, insisting that his track record proves his readiness to drive even greater national development.

He referenced his role in enabling interoperability between mobile networks and banks — a feat previously considered impossible.

“If you had MTN, you couldn’t move money to someone with Vodafone or Airtel. You couldn’t move money from your bank account to your MoMo account. But I said it was possible for us to do it in Ghana — and we have done it.”

Dr. Bawumia also pointed to job creation within the mobile money sector as evidence of his impact.

“When we came, MoMo agents were 107,000. Today, they are 900,000. We have created 800,000 jobs.”

Ending his address, Dr. Bawumia appealed directly to voters to back his vision for a digitally driven, opportunity-rich Ghana — one he insists will bring prosperity closer to every Ghanaian household.
