Spearheaded by former Black Stars Captain, Asamoah Gyan, the ARG is set to foster grassroots sports development and pave the way for Ghanaian athletes to excel on international platforms, particularly the Olympic Games.

The constitution of the LOC reflects a strategic approach to sports development, involving key figures such as the Chief Director of the VRCC, Mr. Augustus K. Awity, the Regional Director of the National Sports Authority, Ho, Mr. Kodjo Fianoo, the All Regional Games Technical Advisor, Coach J. E. Sarpong and other notable personalities from the Sporting Associations and Federations as well as some key stakeholders including the Volta Development Forum.
