Torgbi Kpambi Vedzesu V ,the Divisional Chief of Teshie-Aflao and Warlord (Awadada) of the Aflao Traditional Area, has been sworn in as a member of the Aflao Senior High School Governing Board, reaffirming his commitment to advancing quality education and community development.
The swearing-in ceremony brought together officials of the Ghana Education Service (GES), traditional authorities, education stakeholders, members of the school’s administration, and other invited guests, all united in their commitment to the continued growth and success of the institution.
As the representative of the Aflao Traditional Area on the Governing Board, Torgbi Kpambi Vedzesu V is expected to provide strategic leadership, offer valuable traditional perspectives, and contribute to policies that promote academic excellence, discipline, infrastructure development, and the welfare of both students and staff.
Speaking after taking the oath of office, the chief expressed appreciation for the trust and confidence placed in him. He pledged to discharge his responsibilities with integrity, transparency, and dedication while working collaboratively with fellow board members to advance the school’s vision.
He stressed that education remains the cornerstone of national development and urged parents, teachers, old students, traditional leaders, government agencies, and development partners to join hands in transforming Aflao Senior High School into one of Ghana’s leading centres of academic excellence.
Torgbi Kpambi Vedzesu V further reaffirmed his belief that investing in education is one of the most effective ways of empowering young people and securing a brighter future for the Aflao Traditional Area and the country as a whole. He pledged to support initiatives that improve teaching and learning, strengthen school infrastructure, and create an enabling environment for students to excel academically and socially.
The newly inaugurated Governing Board is expected to provide strategic policy direction, strengthen institutional governance, and support the implementation of programmes aimed at improving academic performance, discipline, and the overall development of the school.
The appointment of Torgbi Kpambi Vedzesu V further adds to his distinguished record of public service and traditional leadership, reflecting his unwavering dedication to promoting education as a key driver of sustainable community development and national progress.
