Torgbui Tenuvi II Donates 400 Bags of Cement to Improve School Infrastructure in Ketu South

Philanthropist and traditional leader Torgbui Tenuvi II (Mr. Felix Akonta Akakpo) has donated 400 bags of cement to selected schools in the Ketu South Municipality to support critical infrastructure development.

The donation was made during the official sod-cutting ceremony held on Friday , 6th February 2026, for the construction of a two-storey Municipal Health Directorate Office Complex at the premises of the Ketu South Municipal Assembly.

The cement donation was channelled through the Municipal Director of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Viepe–Tokor, Ketu South, and officially presented at the ceremony.

Out of the total, eight basic schools received 50 bags each, while St. Paul’s Senior High School was allocated 200 bags of cement to support major construction works.

  8. Huime Agordome M.A. Basic School
  9. St. Paul’s Senior High School – 200 bags

The cement will support the construction of classrooms, dormitories, staff offices, toilet facilities, fence walls, and other essential infrastructure, aimed at improving learning conditions and school safety.

Speaking to News Volta, Torgbui Tenuvi II said the gesture reflects his commitment to education development and human capital growth in Ketu South.

“Education remains the strongest foundation for development. When we invest in our schools, we are investing in the future leaders of Ketu South,” he stated.

He stressed that decent school infrastructure promotes discipline, academic excellence, health, and teacher motivation, while reducing pressure on parents and communities.

Officials of the Ghana Education Service expressed appreciation for the support, describing it as timely and strategic, particularly at a time when many schools are struggling to complete essential projects due to funding constraints.

Headteachers and community leaders present at the ceremony praised Torgbui Tenuvi II for his consistent developmental interventions, calling on other well-meaning individuals to emulate his example.

The donation further highlights Torgbui Tenuvi II’s growing role in health, education, sanitation, youth empowerment, and community development across the Ketu South Municipality.
