The Deputy Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, has assured the Aflao Traditional Council of government support to renovate and upgrade its office into a modern and befitting facility.
The assurance follows an appeal by the Paramount Chief and President of the Council, Torgbuiga Amenya Fiti V, who raised concerns about the poor state of the current office.
The planned renovation will include Proper washroom facilities, Office spaces for the various traditional units, and General improvement of the council building

The Member of Parliament for Ketu South, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, and the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, also acknowledged the urgent need to improve the council’s facilities.
They stressed that a well-equipped Traditional Council office is important for effective leadership, administration, and community development.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Ketu South Assembly Hon. Nicholas Worclachie, has been tasked to help push forward the rehabilitation project.

The upgrade is expected to provide a comfortable and functional working environment for chiefs and staff, and improve the operations of the Aflao Traditional Council.
