Bryan Acheampong has emerged winner of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Primaries in the Ketu South Constituency after results from two polling stations were collated.
Certified results sighted by News Volta show that Mr. Acheampong polled a combined 594 votes, narrowly defeating Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who garnered 564 votes across the two stations.
At the first polling station, Dr. Bawumia led with 309 votes, followed by Bryan Acheampong with 299 votes, while Ken Ohene Agyapong secured 80 votes. However, the second polling station reversed the trend, with Bryan Acheampong recording 295 votes against Dr. Bawumia’s 255 votes. Ken Ohene Agyapong obtained 129 votes at the same station.
In total, Ken Ohene Agyapong placed third with 209 votes from the two polling stations combined. Other candidates recorded marginal votes.
The results, captured on the official Presidential Election Polling Station Results Forms, were duly signed by presiding officers and agents of the respective candidates, confirming the credibility of the process.
The outcome underscores a keenly contested race in Ketu South, with Bryan Acheampong’s stronger performance at one polling station tipping the scales in his favour despite Dr. Bawumia winning the other.
Results from other polling stations across the constituency and nationwide are expected to further shape the overall outcome of the NPP’s flagbearer race ahead of the 2026 general elections
Party supporters described the process as peaceful and transparent, calling for unity within the party as it prepares for the next phase of the 2026 presidential race.
