To promote safety and security in our electoral areas the NPP parliamentary candidate for Ketu South Constituency Samuel Wisdom Doe Haligah has embarked on, Street Lighting project in the Municipality.
The parliamentary candidate has procured over 1000 street lights to be distributed and installed in the various electoral areas within the municipality.

Mr Samuel W.D Haligah said, street lighting is very important to safety and security, for drivers, riders, pedestrians and pretty traders within the Municipality, that he is determined to see Street Light brighting in the principal street of every electoral area in Ketu South.
According Mr Wisdom Doe Haligah (Chairman Petit) as his canvassing some electoral areas in the Ketu South Municipality he noticed that the streetlights within most township street are defective. And said ,is so dangerous because ” robbers also find it easy to attack people on the streets, especially around dark areas, by snatching valuable items or physically harassing passers-by.
Some motorcycle and vehicles may also accidentally knock down pedestrians on dark streets and run away leaving them unattended to. On the dark street it is very difficult to identify figures and their activities. With bushes areas, female pedestrians are sometimes dragged and raped in the bushes or the dark. Children sent on errands at odd hours in the night are easily kidnapped.” That he needs to bring lights back to our street as security check and watch dogs to the good people of ketu South.

Installation is currently going on, through out the municipality, principal street of Denu – Swanzy Road, Hedzranawo, Tokor, DVLA, Kpoglu among other’s electric poles have been fixed and installed with a brand new street lights.
The NPP parliamentary candidate believes that,if voted into parliament as the MP for Ketu South Constituency more development project will be done in Constituency.
