The Hohoe Presbyterian Basic School won the Led Connect Global Quiz competition, Mr Bright Yao Afeku’s edition.
The school, which Ayim Gifty and Appiah Jerry Mawulolo represented, scored 87 points in the five-rounder quiz competed by 6 other schools.
The competitors had their knowledge tested in spelling, reading, mathematics, computing, and science in a four-hour, highly anticipated contest.

They were presented with a trophy, certificates and educational materials, and they own the bragging right as the best school in the Hohoe Constituency in the Volta Region.
The Board-Chairman of Led Connect Global, Bright Yao Afeku, said the competition is a component of his outfit’s programme being implemented to help improve the standard of education in under-served communities.
He said the quiz was designed to test the capabilities of the learners after going through a special course designed to enhance their learning abilities.

He said some University of Ghana students who are volunteers of Led Concept Global facilitated the participation of learners of basic five and six in the special course.
Mr Afeku added that his outfit also aims to promote education across the country to reduce the phenomenon of school dropouts, enhance academic performance and ultimately improve the standard of education.
