The Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC) has congratulated the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV, on his appointment to the 12-member Presidential Advisory Group on the Economy.
In a statement issued in Ho and signed by the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, the Council described the appointment as a clear recognition of Togbe Afede’s exceptional leadership qualities, business acumen, and long-standing experience in enterprise development and governance.
The VRCC noted that Togbe Afede’s inclusion in the high-level advisory body, chaired by the President of the Republic, reflects the esteem he commands across political, business, and traditional leadership circles. The Council further welcomed the representation of the chieftaincy institution at the national economic policy advisory level.
According to the statement, Togbe Afede’s background in fiscal management and industrial development places him in a strong position to contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s economic transformation agenda. His appointment was announced alongside other distinguished personalities drawn from academia, the public service, and the private sector.
The Council expressed confidence that the Agbogbomefia will serve with distinction and bring honour to the Volta Region and the nation. It also prayed for wisdom, strength, and divine guidance as he undertakes his new national responsibility.
