The Volta Regional Secretariat of the Free SHS Secretariat says the ongoing resolution of first-year school placement issues is progressing smoothly.
Regional Coordinator, Ms. Victoria Yayra Afidenyo, noted that while some parents raised concerns — including misplaced gender assignments — systems are in place to resolve them promptly. She cautioned parents against rejecting schools based on appearance, stressing that quality education matters more than aesthetics.
“Education is not about how beautiful the school looks. What matters is the opportunities the child gets to learn and excel. So parents should not be overly worried about the appearance of schools but rather the quality of education their children will receive,” she emphasized.
Ms. Afidenyo urged parents to remain patient and cooperative to ensure a seamless process, reaffirming government’s commitment to securing placement for every qualified student.
